“If John Prine songs were in a giant comic book live on stage.”-White Horse Black Mountain

Kerrville New Folk winner John John Brown is bringing giant hand-drawn comics to the stage. Titled Songs, Stories, & Art- Lessons from Strangers, this original project weaves together storytelling songs and the visual arts in a live performance creating an immersive experience for the listener. Throughout the performance, Brown takes the audience inside the lives of 14 unique characters, while strumming his guitar and singing beside a projected graphic story. Unfolding is an imaginative and colorful world revealing the idea that all people, strangers alike, have a story we can learn from.

No Depression calls John John Brown’s debut album The Road "a blend of astute Americana accompanied by a quiet, reflective glow", while Americana UK said his newest release is "so well written that every song could be a short story". In recent years, he has been chosen as a Kerrville New Folk winner and an Emerging Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.  Most notably, in concert, John John is known for mixing storytelling songs with the visual arts creating “an imaginative musical performance woven into a unique visual experience”. His most recent project, Songs, Stories, and Art-Lessons From Strangers, is the result of a four year collaborative effort with an Indonesian artist named Sapri. Despite living across the globe and relying on Google Translate to communicate pages of detailed notes, Sapri has illustrated more than 200 vibrant drawings that help portray Brown’s storytelling songs during live shows. Unfolding is an imaginative and ever-changing colorful world that takes the audience inside the lives of 14 unique characters revealing the idea that all people have a story we can learn from. While strumming his guitar and singing beside a projected graphic story, John John Brown may have found a new way to sing a song. Above all, he stays rooted in the soil of a good story.

“Indy-garage”… that's what I play." Jim Rezac   2024 is proving to be a Big one for the Delaware native.

In the spring, “Telescope”, Rezacs’ first self written/recorded/produced/mastered & distributed LP came out.  His song, "Trying 2 Be An Angel" was picked up by a feature film for release in 2025!    (the movie is 'Meathook'...I'm not making that up!)   The songwriter landed a coveted spot at BETA Hi-Fi Festival and will be performing/competing at WXPN's World Cafe Live! in July.   And this year will mark Jim’s 5th trip in a row to the Best and Biggest Free outdoor music festival in the U.S…. MUSIKFEST!

Musikfest, a 10-Day festival in Bethlehem has become a favorite showcase for the songwriter.    Jim makes his first appearance at Fringe Fest, in Rochester, NY.   Jim will be performing at Rochesters' Music Hall of Fame in Sept.

And a few years ago, the songwriter/performer won Best Song for a Fictional Podcast for his "Theme to Muckey Landing" at the international event, New Jersey Web Fest.   (The podcast itself went on to win Outstanding Comedy as well).     Jim Rezac is a different kind of songwriter.  From Delaware, he's  been playing guitar all his life.  But it wasn't until a dozen years ago that the writing bug bit him.  He hasn't recovered yet.

When the First State musician isn't helping others enjoy the guitar at his humble studio in Wyoming, DE....he's writing.  And writing some more.  Rezac has performed at venues such as The Bitter End (NYC), The Avalon Theater (Easton, MD), Wilmington Grand (Wilm., DE) The Rockshop Performance Arts Center (Camden, DE) and Songwriter Showcases in NJ, PA, MD, and DE.  He's played MusikFest (Bethlehem, PA) for a number of years now and has been featured on local WBOC-TV about half a dozen times, recently.  His songs & lyrics have been describe as 'honest' ... 'powerful'.  And that's good enough, Jim says.  Please drop us a line to tell us how you found Jim...look for "Tryin 2 Be An Angle" in the movie, Meathook in
