About The Event
David Wimbish (The Collection) makes Appalachian indie folk-pop out of Richmond, VA. Jesse James DeConto (The Pinkerton Raid) makes "Beatles-esque dreamy folk" (AMERICANA HIGHWAYS) out of Durham, NC. .
David Wimbish (The Collection) and Jesse James DeConto have been making music together for more than a decade, since David recorded trumpet on Jesse’s second full-length back in 2013. In 2025, David acted as producer for a third album with Jesse’s songwriting outlet, The Pinkerton Raid, due out this year. As touring singer-songwriters and band leaders, they’ve played separately on Mid-Atlantic stages from Appaloosa Festival to Rooster Walk to FredFestVA and Elkton Music Hall, Kung Fu Necktie and Jammin Java. Mostly, they’ve been each other’s big fans, crossing paths and cheering each other on at SXSW, Wild Goose Festival and The Collection’s own Soil & Sky Fest in NC. For the first time, David & Jesse are hitting the road together…
