Will Minster Scholarship
Honoring a Legacy of Community, Mentorship, and Opportunity
The Listening Booth and We’re Listening are proud to announce The Will Minster Scholarship Fund, created in memory of Will Minster—a beloved mentor, small business champion, and tireless advocate for his community in Delaware.
Apply for the Scholarship
We are currently coming up with an application and rubric for applicants but anyone interested should email education@listeningbooth.com to apply.

Will spent his life lifting others. As the fourth-generation owner of Minster’s Jewelers, a leader in downtown revitalization, and later the director of Launcher Business Resources at West End Neighborhood House, he empowered hundreds of entrepreneurs—especially those in underserved communities—to build their futures with confidence. He believed deeply in the possibility inside every person, no matter their background or circumstance.

Through his work at Downtown Visions, his mentorship, his advocacy, and even his reputation as the “unofficial Mayor of Wilmington,” Will embodied what it means to invest in community.

Will also lived with courage, navigating life with Von Hippel-Lindau disease and contributing to decades of NIH cancer research studies. His resilience and generosity touched everyone who met him.
About the Scholarship
In Will’s honor, the Will Minster Scholarship Fund will provide free or low-cost music lessons to promising young musicians who would otherwise be unable to afford them. This initiative reflects Will’s lifelong commitment to equity, access, and helping people realize their potential.

By opening the door for young artists to learn, grow, and find their voice, the scholarship continues Will’s legacy of mentorship—and ensures that his passion for community lives on at The Listening Booth.

The fund will officially launch at the Key Change Awards, where Will’s impact on the world, on We’re Listening, and on the people he championed will be celebrated and carried forward.
