Lesson Program Policy
At The Listening Booth, we’re proud to offer consistent, personalized music instruction for students of all ages. To keep the program running smoothly for everyone, please take a moment to review the following policies:
Scheduling & Consistency
-
Lessons are held once per week at a recurring, consistent time.
For example: if your lesson is Sundays from 12:00–12:30 PM, that will remain your weekly time unless otherwise arranged. -
Lessons are offered in 30-minute ($35) or 60-minute ($70) formats.
Voice and Songwriting lessons are always scheduled for one hour.
Cancellations & Makeups
-
If you need to cancel, you must provide notice by at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson.
-
Same-day cancellations will be considered forfeited and no credit will be issued.
-
If proper notice is given, a lesson credit will be issued.
-
If a makeup is not possible within the month, the credit will be applied to the next bill.
-
Lesson credits must be used by the end of the following calendar month. Example: A credit from June must be used by July 31.
-
Instructors will do their best to offer a makeup time when possible.
Payments & Late Fees
-
Invoices are sent out one week before the start of the next month’s lessons.
-
Payment is due upon receipt. Checks should be made payable to We’re Listening, Inc.
-
Invoices that are more than 14 days past due will incur a $35 late fee and may result in temporary removal from the schedule until the balance is paid.
-
Due to limited availability, lesson time slots cannot be held for students with unpaid balances.
Credit Card Surcharge
-
As of September 2025, a small surcharge will apply to credit card payments.
-
This helps offset rising transaction fees and allows us to keep our lesson rates stable and competitive.

We love and appreciate all of our students and families. Our goal is to make music education enjoyable, accessible, and stress-free. Thank you for being part of our community at The Listening Booth and We’re Listening!
